The well and the water beneath the palazzo

The well is believed to have Byzantine origins. Its presence tells of these spaces’ relationship with water, which continues beneath the surface.

To see the underground channel and cistern, step into the lobby of the shared restrooms: a dedicated glass viewing panel reveals them. They add another discovery to your visit to the courtyard, alongside the historic masonry and medieval openings.
